Roadmap

Each camp is a usable release. One camp closes before the next opens. The public repository and the download come after the camps are complete.

  1. BaseFoundations
    Done

Repository, architecture, CI on all three platforms, updater, document model, commands, Python binding.

  2. Camp 0Proof
    Done

Sketching with a full constraint set, part features (pad, pocket, revolve, groove, fillet, chamfer, hole, mirror), STEP and STL, the .yonta format, everything scriptable.

  3. Camp 1Daily driver
    In progress

Patterns, Booleans, shell, loft, sweep; section, mass, material and references; expressions and parameters; the sketch; view and selection; Turkish and English UI; packages on all three platforms.

  4. Camp 2Open-source equivalent
    Planned

Open-source parity: drawings with PDF and DXF export, assemblies with joints, mesh and exchange formats, the plugin loader, the foundation of the sheet-metal bend model.

  5. Camp 3Full parametric engineering
    Planned

Configurations and design tables, large assemblies, sheet-metal features and direct modelling, weldments, GD&T and PMI, production drawings, git-native versioning in the app, surfacing.

  6. Camp 4Manufacturing
    Planned

CAM for milling and turning, sheet cutting with nesting, additive slicing, live DFM and cost estimation, PCB bridge.

  7. Camp 5Simulation platform
    Planned

Structural, thermal, electromagnetic and fluid front-ends to open-source solvers, motion simulation, topology optimisation, node graph for every feature.

  8. Camp 6Form and motion
    Planned

Mesh sculpting, subdivision and Class-A surfaces, rendering, animation, presentation export.

  9. Summit
    Planned

Real-time co-editing (optional, self-hostable), native readers for major formats, full accessibility and localisation.

Rules of the climb

  1. No camp is skipped.
  2. Every camp's exit test is an acceptance run with real input and a part modelled from scratch in that camp.
  3. Architecture decisions are taken for the summit; code is written for the next camp.
  4. If we stop halfway, each camp is a complete, useful, maintained product.

The full roadmap, with the exit test of every camp, is ROADMAP.md in the repository.
